⁶ Lot went outside to them, shut the door behind him, ⁷ and said, “I urge you, my brothers, don’t do such a wicked thing. ⁸ Look here, I have two daughters who are virgins.^[a] Let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them whatever you wish,^[b] only don’t do anything to these men, because they’re here under my protection.”^[c]
